Akkar
For this project I decided to travel to Lebanon in search of a topic that is affecting the area and could be documented through a series of photographs. I entered this country without any expectation of what I might find. Embracing this idea of the unknown, I ended up in Akkar, Lebanon the second largest agricultural district in the country that is situated North of Beirut close to the Syrian border. I worked in conjunction with NGO ACTED to compose photographs that can be included in exhibitions around Lebanon. The aim of this exhibition is to bring awareness to the importance of the river in Akkar and its increased pollution from the lack of government action on the refugee crisis.
